L.A. duo courtship. might only have a few tracks to their name, but are quickly growing in popularity. Their first energetic effort, "Stop For Nothing", has over two million plays on Spotify. This one to watch has a synthy, sunny style that's just perfect for summer, and newest their release "Perfect People" is a great first listen.

The bright bop details the experiences that the duo - Micah Gordon and Eli Hirsch - have had during their time living in L.A. They were inspired by how many people are very concerned about what other people think of them, as the song's bold hook explains, some people "[would] give anything just to be perfect people". The song is a relatable anthem for anyone, even those who have only a very small part of themselves, that wishes they could be one of the "perfect people". In today's society, when so much pressure is placed on young people to look and act a certain way and to fit or break certain stereotypes, courtship. have nailed what many adolescents and young adults go through on a daily basis.

Part of the song's draw comes from its unique style - it's a very indie rock feel, but done in an electronic-tinged indie pop way. A heat wave of synths, with floating vocals, light octave-harmonies, and sultry bass parts deliver just the right ambiance for a pool party, or even a road trip.
